Privacy policy
Who we are
Dis-Solved is a computational pharmacology consultancy based in London, United Kingdom, operated by Nabil Yasini-Ardekani. For any question about this policy, contact contact@dis-solved.com.
What we collect
When you email us or book a consultation, we collect your name, your email address, and the contents of your enquiry. When you pay for a consultation, payment is processed by Stripe; we receive the transaction reference but do not see or store your card details. We do not place tracking cookies on this site.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, deliver the work you have engaged us for, issue invoices, and meet our legal obligations. We do not use it for marketing without your prior consent, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties other than the service providers that are necessary to operate the business (currently: Stripe for payment, our email provider for correspondence, and our accountant for tax records).
Lawful basis
We process your data on the basis of (a) your consent when you email us or send an enquiry, (b) the performance of a contract when you engage us for paid work, and (c) our legal obligation to retain accounting records.
Retention
Enquiry emails that do not lead to a paid engagement are retained for up to two years from the last contact, then deleted. Engagement records, including project deliverables and invoices, are retained for six years to meet UK tax and accounting obligations, then deleted.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold on you, request correction or erasure, restrict or object to processing, and request data portability. Email contact@dis-solved.com to exercise any of these rights; we will respond within thirty days. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Security
We use reputable providers for email, payment, and file storage, with encryption in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal data we will notify you and the ICO as required by law.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the "last updated" date above will change and we will note the change at the top of the page. For continuing engagements we will email you a summary of the change.
